Tallapoosa County Extension Office set to host tomato workshop in July | Events

The Tallapoosa County Extension Office is hosting a tomato workshop on Friday, July 13th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Charles E. Bailey Sportsplex Gym in Alexander City.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Grafting tomato demonstration
• Tomato varieties and culinary uses
• Tomato growing tips
• Identifying tomato diseases & disorders
• Tomato taste testing
• Drip Irrigation demonstration

Pleas bring a fresh sample of any insect, disease or problem and any named variety of tomato you have grown for taste testing.

The cost for this workshop is $15 and includes lunch.  Preregistration and payment is due by Tuesday, July 3rd
