HSEC Pet-of-the-Week Part 2!

HSEC Pet-of-the-Week Part 2!

Scully was adopted! So, the NEW pet-of-the-week is Lil' Abner!

Lil’ Abner came to us as a little pup literally covered in ticks.  He came through that and is now a shy but sweet boy who is about 4 ½ months old, possible Heeler mix and should be in the 45 lb range when fully grown.

Angela is possibly a Basset/Spaniel mix, 2-3 years old, 40 lbs, crate trained and house trained.  She loves to carry her toys everywhere when she isn’t tossing them up in the air and running after them though she doesn’t necessarily retrieve well.  While she is o'k with dogs and cats she does have a dominant personality so might be best as the only dog or with only a male dog as a buddy.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated supplies at Saturday’s Millbrook Wal-Mart Supply Drive as these donated supplies help in a HUGE way!  We are hitting our peak intake time of the year and are using even more food/supplies than usual so can put everything to good use immediately.  If you live in Tallassee your turn to help will be this coming Saturday, 15 Jun, 9 am – 1 pm, at the Tallassee Wal-Mart where our volunteers will be set up in front of the store to receive donated supplies.  Our biggest needs right now are canned cat food, dry cat food (brands with NO dyes preferred), kitty toys, garden hose nozzles, plastic trash bags of all sizes and 9 Volt & AAA batteries.  Thank you to our volunteers who make these supply drives happen and to all who support us by donating!
